Bone Differentiation

Creative Cell optimizes bone differentiation protocols starting from both human embryonic stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells.

MSC culture subjected to osteogenic differentiation protocol. MSCs cultured in osteogenic medium for 21 days on peptide-coated plastic surface exhibit strong Alizarin red staining, indicating massive calcium deposition.

Induction of alkaline phosphatase, a marker of bone differentiation. Osteogenic differentiation is reflected by a marked increase in the activity of alkaline phosphatase, here demonstrated using the chromogenic substrate p-nitrophenyl phosphate.
